This training dummy can replace the animal in medical, pharmaceutical and veterinary teaching, as well as in teaching experimental techniques.

Using the 3Rs concept, this model will enable students to acquire the skills needed to handle a rat in an ethical manner.

It avoids stress for both the animal and the experimenter.

The anatomy of the rat includes the pharynx, larynx, trachea, oesophagus, bronchi and stomach.

The abdomen is transparent, allowing the techniques to be seen clearly.

It can be used for restraint, oral administration, endotracheal intubation, injection and tail sampling.
